Baracoa, also called the First City, is located in the province of Guantánamo and was founded in 1511 under the name of Our Lady of the Assumption of Baracoa by Spanish conquistador Diego Velázquez. Its main products are banana, coconut and cocoa.
Its natural attractions include Río Toa and Río Miel, this one bathing the whole city. These beautiful places have been used as scenes for major domestic and foreign films. And, by the way, family vacation adventures here take on a spectacular dimension, with eco-travel tours being the first stepping stone towards an unforgettable experience.
