Soroa, famous for its beauty since the 17th century, is also known as the Rainbow of Cuba and is a graceful, unforgettable natural landscape of great attractiveness and variety. It has been declared a Biosphere Reserve. It is located on the edge of the mountain elevations of Sierra del Rosario, in western Cuba, about 70 km. west of Pinar del Río, in the small valley formed by the Manantiales River, the main tributary of the Bayate River.
