Description

Cienfuegos, known in Cuba as the Pearl of the South, the only city founded in 1819 by the French in Latin America under the Spanish crown, a city of parks, theaters, churches, a beautiful Paseo del Prado and a flourishing culture. You can also enjoy the beauty of the sea and the nature that surrounds the city.

Program

• Starting point of the excursion: Hotel La Union located in the center of the city.
• Walk along San Carlos street, one of the main arteries of the city until arriving at the Cathedral of Cienfuegos, where the guide explains all the values of the building.
• Stay at José Martí square where the guide will explain the emblematic buildings of the area (Tomas Terry Theater, San Lorenzo College, Ferrer Palace, El Palatino and its link with the Trinitarian heritage, House of the Founder of the city, and the Government House), as well as the founding act of the city in 1819 under the Spanish colony but founded by the French.
• Free time in the galleries and commercial arteries.
