Viñales has been declared a Cultural Landscape of Humanity, a National Monument and a Local Monument. The relief is distinguished by its mogotes, grouped together in limestone hills and isolated individually. It has sites in a natural, semi-natural and, to a lesser extent, anthropic state, with very representative elements framed in a physical-geographical region of mogotes and slates that constitute unique ecosystems of international importance. Because of these characteristics, it is one of the most impressive and attractive places in Cuba. Its small town is very beautiful, with a main street and from where you can see beautiful rural landscapes. The tranquility of the place and the kindness of the local people attract as much as the green landscape that surrounds it. From the town, there are several tours or routes on foot or on horseback that go into the Viñales Valley, full of tobacco crops, wild flora and fauna and cave formations to visit.
