Santa Clara is located in the Central region of the country and is the capital of the province of Villa Clara. It was founded on July 15, 1689. It is an important industrial, commercial, service and communication center. Its main attraction is the Plaza de la Revolución where you can find the sculpture group dedicated to Ernesto Guevara de la Serna (Che), work of the sculptor José Delarra. At its base there is a Mausoleum, where the remains of a renowned hero have rested since 1997.
The Villa of San Juan of the Remedies, is located in the province of Villa Clara, in the center of the Island, is recognized like the eighth older city of Cuba and is possessor of a rich historical and cultural path for what March 7, 1980, his historical urban center was declared National Monument. A small Cuban municipality with one of the popular celebrations of the Caribbean, Las Parrandas de Remedios.
