Description:

La Otilia House Museum, was the last command post of Column No. 4 of the Rebel Army led by Ernesto Che Guevara. Inaugurated as an extension of the Municipal Museum of Buey Arriba on October 8, 1983, it houses objects, photos and uniforms belonging to combatants who interacted directly with the Heroic Guerrilla.

We start the tour in Bayamo, from your hotel or rental house, to Buey Arriba, the tour by car takes approximately 1 hour. Buey Arriba is a rural town, this community has a local museum that contains very important information related to the last war and the figure of Ernesto Che Guevara who was then in those mountains. To get to La Otilia we will take a 4 km walk along the river and a green forest. This place is small but interesting. It has an abundant flora and fauna where we will be able to appreciate doves, hummingbirds, totíes, tomeguines, snails, jicoteas, majá de Santa María, catibo and trees like mahogany, guásima, yagruma, mango, coconut trees, palms, tengue, carboneros and others stand out.
