Overview of your trip

Difficulty level: Medium to difficult (we can skip The Niche and Collantes Stops and drive directly to Trinidad with one of our guides if the clients prefer)

8 day tours, each of approx. 6-9 hours, of which 4-5 hours by bike.
The bikes are always in perfect technical condition.

The net prices of the packages are expressed in USD per pax.
It is not allowed to transport people who are not part of the group on the bikes or on the accompanying buses.

MANDATORY INFORMATION:

Sex: female / male (including information, if any, about any special characteristics regarding the person's height, weight or any disability)
Children: There is no minimum age, only a minimum "height" of 1.40 m and a maximum body weight of 25 kg.
Trailers / child seats: For the youngest children we have trailer / car type seats on request.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Recommended clothing and accessories: Closed shoes or tennis shoes, comfortable and suitable for walking outdoors, sunglasses, sunscreen, depending on the time of day, swimming suit and towel. We recommend the use of light but strong clothing. They should have a raincoat for any eventuality. Repellent. There may be some mosquitoes in the places we will visit.
We may need a small backpack outside for personal belongings.
In Cuba we have a very extended medical assistance, with clinics in the most remote areas of the country. However, if you suffer from a chronic disease or allergy, etc., it will not be useless to bring your personal first aid kit or medicines, especially when you are far from the big cities.

day 1 HAVANA.

Preparation and indications for the beginning of the tour, one day before we start our trip

Accommodation in a cozy private house which has always been previously checked.
Pick up at 9:00 am and presentation of the tour guide, this will be recognizable by the logo "Cubyke" that is present on your bike, shirt or cap.
Brief introduction about the correct use of the bikes and their individual adjustment, according to your own physical characteristics.
Explanation about the state of the streets and information about the functioning of the Cuban road traffic.

day 2 HAVANA - PLAYA LARGA

Destinations to visit: Playa Larga, Matanzas

Transports used: Electric bicycle (e-bike)

Departure to Playa Larga

Departure to Playa Larga, we will cover parts of the route with another means of transport to Australia or Agramontes.
We will cross Australia, where Fidel Castro had established his command post in Central Australia when the invasion of Playa Giron took place.
We will visit the crocodile farm, the largest in Cuba, with approximately 10,000 specimens.
Lunch at the restaurant where there are dishes made with meat of this animal in case you want to try it. -We continue the tour to Playa Larga, where we will stay, free time to enjoy the beach.
Dinner in a private restaurant in the area.
Free night for your enjoyment.
We will show you how to load your e-bike, so you can have it ready for the next day.

day 3 PLAYA LARGA - PLAYA GIRON

Long Beach-Giron Beach

Departure to Playa Giron, a place full of history. It is a town in the municipality of Ciénaga de Zapata, Matanzas province. Known worldwide for the historical events of April 1961, it is one of the most visited places in the country.
This route is characterized by having many animals on the road, which will be a very special challenge for our e-bikes. At certain times of the day and year, the crabs go on massive walks.
Visit to the Fish Cave. An impressive natural pool of clear glass with more than 70 meters deep that communicates with the sea through a subway tunnel. In this place there is a great variety of colorful fish.
Free time for swimming
We continue to Playa Giron.
On the way we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant, where there is also the opportunity to snorkel or dive (also suitable for beginners) or simply take a sea bath.
Accommodation in a private house, or in the Hotel Playa Girón according to availability.
Visit to the interesting museum dedicated to the events of the 1961 invasion.
Dinner and free night for your enjoyment.

day 4 PLAYA GIRON - CIENFUEGOS

Girón Beach - Cienfuegos

Departure at 9:00 am in the direction of Cienfuegos, this tour will be along the coast, but depending on the season of the year in which the migration of red crabs occurs, the most possible is that we have to take an alternative route passing through original villages, with an incredible charm.
As it is a long route during lunch it is advisable to reload the bikes.
After lunch and loading time we continue our journey to Cienfuegos, also known as "the Pearl of the South". The only city founded in 1819 by the French in Latin America under the Spanish crown, a city of parks, theaters, churches, a beautiful Paseo del Prado and a flourishing culture you can also enjoy the beauty of the sea and nature surrounding the city.
Tour the city to explore the "Pearl of the South" with our bikes.
We head to our private house or hotel to stay.
In the evening, dinner and free night for your enjoyment.

day 5 CIENFUEGOS - EL NICHO/HANABANILLA - CIENFUEGOS.

Departure at 09:00 a.m., towards El Nicho, it is a marvel of nature, dozens of waterfalls and natural ponds in a practically virgin place, hidden among the mountains. One of the settlements belonging to the basin of national interest Hanabanilla, in the province of Cienfuegos. It is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful places in Cuba.
Free time with the bicycles to explore the highlands on your own, but also with an expert local guide if you prefer. We will move one day around El Nicho and Hanabanilla.
In the evening, accommodation in a hotel or camping in the middle of this beautiful place.
Dinner and free night for your enjoyment.

day 6 CIENFUEGOS - TRINIDAD - CASILDA

Breakfast.
Departure to Trinidad at 09:00 am. Trinidad, one of the most beautiful, historical and best preserved cities in Cuba was one of the first Villas founded by the Spanish and declared by UNESCO as Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Its cobbled streets full of tradition and history will make you feel and live the experience of being in a City stopped by time full of heritage, historical and cultural values that reveal times, customs and traditions.
We travel through the mountains to Topes de Collantes and then we dive into the valley of Trinidad. (if you wish we have an alternative program for this day without bicycle).
Tour through the historical center of Trinidad.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Walk through the streets of the city and visit places of interest.
In the afternoon we will go to Playa Ancon and La Boca, places of crystalline waters and fine sand, in this place we will observe the spectacular sunset.
Then we will go to Casilda, a small fishing village, located on the northwest shore of the Gulf of Ana Maria. In this place we will be able to taste the culinary delights of the region, as well as the rhythm of the Cuban musicians and dances.

day 7 CASILDA - TRINIDAD - TOPES DE COLLANTES - CIENFUEGOS

Destinations to visit: Cienfuegos city, Cienfuegos

We will take the Southern Circuit along the coast to Playa Yaguanabo.
A small detour to El Cubano Park, located only 5 km from the city of Trinidad, nature and history become allies to offer the visitor more than just a memory.
We continue to the Hotel Yaguanabo, a place where we will stay that has small bungalows and a private beach, in a very quiet bay.
Free time for your enjoyment.

day 8 CIENFUEGOS

Destinations to visit: Cienfuegos city, Cienfuegos

Transports used: Electric bicycle (e-bike)

Today we will travel through routes that are not usually visited by tourists so that you can get to know Cienfuegos completely.
We will travel through lovely and picturesque towns, full of friendly and hospitable people.
We will visit the Laguna Guanaroca Park, a beautiful place that treasures numerous species of Cuban flora and fauna and without a doubt the most outstanding are the beautiful flamingos that inhabit this place.
Lunch at a place on the Caribbean beach.
Free time to swim in the turquoise waters and enjoy the Caribbean sun.
Departure to our lodging place in Cienfuegos.
Free time to explore the city on your own.
In the evening dinner and free time for your enjoyment in which we can talk about our experiences as well as share the images, videos and other materials made by ourselves during this tour.

day 9 CIENFUEGOS - HAVANA

Transports used: Air conditioned bus , Electric bicycle (e-bike)

Back to Havana

Departure at 09:00 am sharp, we will pedal only one stretch to our transport, which will be waiting for us to move with our bikes to the Capital of Cuba.
Lunch at a typical Cuban restaurant in Havana.
Farewell tour with our electric bikes through the city. We will see the Capitol, the Revolution Square, Old Havana, Central Havana and the Malecón etc.
We will move with the electric bikes to our last accommodation and the bikes will be picked up by our team.
Our journey through the center of Cuba with the e-bike is over.
The next day if you wish, we can arrange an optional transport to take you to the international airport or organize an individual transport to your next accommodation (price not included).
