Description

Baracoa, the oldest city in Cuba, is located in the eastern province of Guantanamo. It was the first town founded by the Spaniards in Cuba with the name of "Villa de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Baracoa" at the beginning of the colonization of the island in the XVI century, in this place was erected the first cathedral that the country had. Wrapped in mountainous massifs, adorned by a rigorous vegetation of virgin forests, full of endemic flora and fauna, with crystalline rivers and beaches surrounded by grape creeks, almond and coconut trees, Baracoa has a distinctive seal that makes it different from the rest of the cities in the country.

Day 1

• Departure from the hotel towards Baracoa.
• At the Farola viaduct we will make a brief stop at Alto de Cotilla to observe the vegetation that covers our beautiful mountains.
• Lunch in Baracoa at Rancho Toa, tasting the typical food of the area.
• Boat ride on the Toa River.
• In the afternoon tour of the city to enjoy its history and colonial architecture.

Day 2

• Departure to El Cacao trail.
• Lunch at Maguana Beach.
• On the way to the city of Santiago de Cuba crossing the Alejandro de Humboldt Park by the mulatto road.
• Visit to the Piedra Zoo in Yateras.
• Arrival to the city of Santiago de Cuba.
