Description
The Caves of Bellamar, are a group of caves with more than 23 kilometers of galleries located in the province of Matanzas, Cuba. Because of the beauty of its galleries and caves, the important paleontological findings, as well as a wide range of crystalline processes were declared a National Monument.
This walk to the underground world takes 45 minutes and covers about 500 meters, through a safe area where the air is perfectly breathable, with electric power, stairs to go down and railings in dangerous places. No special physical condition is required to do the tour. You will pass through halls and galleries of great beauty, fountains, stalactites and stalagmites, crystallized vaults and other formations that have earned names such as the Fountain of Love, or the grated Coconut gallery. On the outskirts of the cave there are restaurant and café services and shops.
