Visit to Rancho Toa" Tour

The Toa River is the most abundant river in Cuba, notable for its depth and its thick and beautiful wooded contours. The Toa, belonging to the northern slope, receives the waters of 71 tributaries, which never stop flowing, even in the strongest droughts. It has the highest average slope of the Cuban rivers. The Mambises found food in its waters during the wars of independence in the 19th century. This river was also the dwelling place of the aborigines who integrated the first agro-pottery cultures of Baracoa.
