"Santiago, Tobacco and Rum" Tour
The Bacardi Rum factory was founded in Santiago de Cuba in 1862 by Don Facundo Bacardi Masso. The story goes that this old warehouse was inhabited by bats, hence the Bacardi Rum logo. The factory prospered incredibly at the beginning of the 20th century so Don Emilio established a new distillery that is still standing today. Parque Céspedes, the heart and soul of Santiago de Cuba, is located in the heart of the historic center of Santiago de Cuba, a National Monument. The Céspedes Park is one of the most popular places in the city, a must for locals and foreigners visiting the city.
