Departure point:

  • Padro Street No. 20 bajo e / San Lazaro y Capdevilla, Old Havana.
  • Montero Sanchez Street No. 34 e / 21 and 23, Vedado.

Places of interest:

  • The Prado Promenade. It was built in 1772 and is one of the most important promenades in Havana and Latin America. Eight statues were placed with bronze lion figures, which seem to guard the promenade, an emblematic image of the city.
  • Havana's Chinatown, located a short distance from the National Capitol, is made up of four or five small streets between Amistad Street and Dragones Street, and is the largest and most important in Latin America. According to several historians, about 150,000 Chinese settled in Havana's Chinatown between 1847 and 1874, of which very few of their descendants remain, but the neighborhood is still alive thanks to the spirit of the Chinese elders who still live here. In its heyday, it was considered the second most important in the world, after San Francisco in California, United States.
  • The Revolution Square, with it's José Martí Memorial, the most important square in Havana, Cuba and one of the largest in the world with 72 thousand square meters.
  • The Colón Cemetery, Cuba's national monument and specialists place it as the second most important in the world, preceded only by the Staglieno Cemetery in Genoa, Italy.
  • The intersection of 23rd and 12th Avenues in the capital's Vedado, literally and for many Cubans, the center of the city's life,
  • La Escalinata de la Universidad de La Habana, in the heart of the capital's Vedado, you can enjoy this beautiful staircase of 88 steps to enter the faculty of the University of Havana, which is about to turn 294 years old and was declared a National Monument in 1978. At the bottom of the staircase you can see the "Alma Mate" symbol of this famous university, an impressive monument made in 1919 by the Czechoslovakian artist Mario Karbel, which was inspired by two Cuban women of completely different features and ethnicities.
  • Hamel's Alley is a narrow alley full of murals and colorful sculptures that offers visitors a sample of local art in the middle of the street. The self-taught artist and painter, Salvador Gonzalez Escalona, began to decorate one of the alleys of his place of residence from 1990 to the present day, based on his Afro-Cuban style as a mixture of surrealism, cubism and abstract art. Hamel Alley is one of the most emblematic and visited places in the city, a place with its own identity in Havana.
  • The Malecón de la Habana, one of the most picturesque and visited sites in the city, where you can enjoy unparalleled views and breathe the sea air.
  • The Castle of San Salvador de La Punta is located at the very entrance of the bay of the Port of Havana, was built between 1589 and 1630 and is part of the defensive system formed by the four fortresses that defend the bay of the city, which were declared World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO on December 14, 1982.
  • The Plaza Vieja (Old Square), perfectly preserved, is the main square of Old Havana, it was designed and built in 1559, in its surroundings are located the Camera Obscura, the Photo Library of Cuba, the Playing Cards Museum, the La Casona Art Center, the Pablo de la Torriente Brau Cultural Center and the Cueto Palace, the most finished example of Art Nouveau in Havana.
  • The Plaza de San Francisco de Asís was founded on June 2, 1628 as one of the oldest and most emblematic squares in Old Havana. Today it serves as the gateway to the city. In its center you can enjoy the Fuente de Los Leones, one of the most beautiful fountains in Havana, as well as the beautiful building of the Lonja del Comercio.
  • The Plaza de Armas, formerly known as Plaza de la Iglesia (Church Square), due to the residence of the Parroquial Mayor being the first church in Havana, is one of the most beautiful squares in Havana and in colonial times was its administrative center.
  • The Cathedral Square is named after the Cathedral of the Virgin Mary of the Immaculate Conception of Havana, a Catholic temple. Surrounded by the mansions of the colonial Havana nobility, such as the Palace of the Marquis of Arcos, the house of the Counts of Casa Bayona from 1720, which is currently the Museum of Colonial Art and the mansion of the Marquis of Aguas Claras.
