Description

Havana, is a city without equal, full of charm and it makes all those who visit it fall in love. To visit Havana is to feel that mixture of the old with the new, is to discover its history of several centuries, is to feel the joy, to know the customs and traditions of the Cubans, is without a doubt a great experience.

With our half-day tour, we will explore the beauties and peculiarities of Havana, we will visit the places where the history, culture, customs, traditions and lifestyle of the capital's people are found, we will visit the highlights of the Cuban capital, as well as other less known wonders. Get to know the real Havana, the classic and the modern, and experience why you are in the Wonder City.

Details of the tour

• Departure from the meeting point.
• We start our tour through the lively and busy historical center and Centro Habana.
• We will pass by the Capitol, the Central Park, the Museum of the Revolution and the Paseo del Prado.
• We will cross the oldest streets of the city, slowly entering the heart of Old Havana.
• We arrive at the beautiful Havana Train Station, located in front of the famous birthplace of the poet, lawyer, intellectual, revolutionary and national hero, José Martí.
• We will transit along the Bay of Havana, to the point from where "Las lanchitas", as the Cubans or ferries that cross the bay call it, depart.
• We continue pedaling and this time we will see the Castillo de la Punta, and the buildings on the other side of the bay such as El Cristo, El Morro Castle, and the San Carlos de la Cabaña fortress.
• We continue along the Malecón Habanero, Cuba's most famous seafront avenue; with its six lanes it is topped by a wide sidewalk, crowned by a wall that serves as a seat for thousands of people contemplating the blue sea, the passage of ships, or the beloved face of those who share a beautiful moment as they appreciate the sunset.
• Here we begin our tour of the Vedado area.
• We will visit the Columbus Cemetery, the largest in the Americas and the third largest cemetery in the world.
• We will pedal to John Lennon Park, where there is a life-size statue of the famous English composer and member of the legendary Beatles quartet.
• Return to our starting point.

• Technical assistance: The circuit will have technical assistance during the whole tour as well as trained personnel to attend to any eventuality that may occur during the course.

Castillo de la Punta, José Martí's birthplace, Paseo del Prado, Central Park, Museum of the Revolution (from outside), the Capitol, Gran Teatro, John Lennon Park, Colón Cemetery, Centro Habana, Malecón, La Rampa and Vedado.

Important Notes:

• You should arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour starts.
• At the meeting point, we will give a brief introduction to the electric bicycles, the settings of the clients' bicycles at each individual height and some general information about the roads and traffic regulations in Cuba.
• All participants must travel with their own personal insurance.
• The program is subject to change. Visits to museums depend on opening hours. Modifications/changes possible, depending on the opening hours of the museums.
• The guest should have a good experience in urban cycling. There are no bicycle lanes in Cuba.
• Guests should be able to ride a bicycle comfortably up to 20 kilometers.
• There is no minimum age for children, only a minimum height of 1.40 m
• For the bikers of the future we have trailer seats/trolleys. Maximum weight: 25 kg. The number of seats/trolleys is limited and will always be "on request".
• Sex of the person: female/male (including information, if any, about any special characteristics regarding the person's height, weight, or any disabilities).

TIPS: - It is recommended to wear light clothing, sneakers, closed shoes or tennis shoes, comfortable and appropriate for walking outdoors, sun protection, sunglasses. Rain can be expected at any time.
