"Havana at night" Bike Tour
Description
Our proposal is that you make this trip at sunset, we will go through the most important areas of the city at night, and we will get a completely different impression than the one Havana offers us in daylight.
Havana at night is different. Its dimly lit streets make our bike rides a magical and challenging experience. But relax because it is a safe and welcoming place. During the trip, you will enjoy the eclectic architecture, the lights, the colors and its people.
Details of the tour
- Departure from the meeting point, in the months of April to September at 19:00 h - and in the months of October to March at 18:00 h. (As an alternative and upon request, another meeting point can be organized for private groups) us
- We head for the Malecón Habanero, Cuba's most famous seafront avenue; with its six lanes it is topped by a wide sidewalk, crowned by a wall that serves as a seat for thousands of people contemplating the blue sea, the passage of ships, or the beloved face of those who share a beautiful moment as they appreciate the sunset.
- From here on, the journey becomes stricter, as we enter the dark streets of Centro and Habana Vieja.
- On the way we will cross the Plaza de la Revolución, a place of singular historical value for having been the scene of many of the main acts and events of the Cuban Revolution. In the great esplanade that makes up the square, Party congresses and various international events have been held, as well as acts of solidarity with brother nations, anniversaries and other important events, general assemblies of the Cuban people, marches of the fighting people, workers', military and student parades, student graduation ceremonies and pioneer initiation, solemn evenings and farewell mourning events. This time you will be able to admire it under the moonlight and delight in its impressive illumination.
- We will border the Latin American Stadium, home of the city's baseball team, the "Industriales".
- Passing by "Cuatro Caminos", we will slowly enter Old Havana.
- Time to have a drink in a typical Cuban kiosk.
- We continue our tour this time through the Old Hanana and Centro Habana, heading to the Central Park where the first statue erected to José Martí in Cuba is located. From this place we can see views of the Capitol, the classic and famous Inglaterra and Plaza hotels, the Gran Teatro de La Habana "Alicia Alonso" and the Museum of Fine Arts that treasures works of Universal Art and last but not least the renovated Gran Manzana, Parque Central and Telégrafo Hotels. Without a doubt a light show that will allow you to capture impressive snapshots.
- From there, we will move towards Centro Habana, through Neptuno, San Nicolás and Galiano streets.
- We will pass by the famous restaurant La Guarida, one of the most recognized in Havana, a place that served as the location for the filming of the famous Cuban movie Strawberry and Chocolate, nominated for the Oscar (1993)
- We arrived at Hamel's Alley, a place that smells, sounds, tastes and looks like Afro-Cuban culture. Afro-Cuban Santeria.
- We will transit by the Vedado and we will see the Hotel "Habana Libre", old Hilton.
- We continue until we arrive at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, the emblem of the Cuban hotel industry. It is located on a hill a few meters from the sea in the most central area of Havana, a place where hundreds of notable personalities have stayed in the different manifestations of the arts, politics, commerce and the world of business, science and universal culture, not to mention the Italian-American mafia. Depending on availability, we will visit the Hall of Fame and enjoy a "mafia style" mojito.
