Description

Las Salinas is located about 180 kilometers southeast of Havana, in the Ciénaga de Zapata National Park, considered the most important and best preserved wetland in the insular Caribbean. This excursion will allow you to enjoy the observation of the most important migratory birds of Cuba, which are located in the Ciénaga de Zapata National Park. Among the main species you can find the flamingo, the spoonbill, the ivis and the heron. Forest birds can also be observed in some sections of the route. It is suggested as optimal period from November 15 to April 15.

Program

• Pick up at the hotel.
• Birdwatching in the canals of the "Salinas de Brito" area. Main species to observe: Aquatic birds, migratory the great majority (Flamingos, spoonbills, ivis, herons, etc.).
• Departure to Punta Perdiz where we will have lunch and enjoy the place and the bar.
• Visit to the farm "Fiesta Campesina" and tour of the facility.
• Return to Varadero.
