Description

Trinidad, one of the first villages founded by the Spaniards and one of the best preserved today, declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. In the colonial city of Trinidad, full of historical, cultural and patrimonial values, you will discover the times, customs and traditions of the ancient Villa.

Towards the south of the city, 13Km. (8miles) is the Ancon Peninsula, which is a long arm that goes into the Caribbean Sea, giving rise to two picturesque beaches: Maria Aguilar and Ancon. In front of this peninsula and to the east, up to Cayo Blanco, is the diving area, which has a privileged location, since regardless of the direction and strength of the wind there is always a calm place to dive.

The area stands out for having a great archeological reserve due to the amount of sunken ships dating from the times of the corsairs and pirates who sailed in the southern Caribbean Sea and tried to attack the City. It has more than 20 points of immersion for the lovers of the diving.

Sea bottom description: The waters have a temperature above 240C, they maintain their virginity due to the lack of pollutants and the well preserved nature of their bottoms, they have an average horizontal visibility of 30 meters ( 98 feet), they have a diversity of underwater flora and fauna and a total absence of aggressive animals. The diving area has three areas of characteristic submerged structures. The first is a zone where the platform is narrow with well-defined terraces and sandy bottoms with low coral patches and ridges that can reach up to 5 meters (16 feet) in height, which burst into the shore at a depth of 25-30 meters (82-98 feet) where the wall begins.
