Description

On this tour you will enjoy a tour of the Alturas de Banao Ecological Reserve. Among mountains and an exciting flora and fauna for its richness, down the fresh and clean waters of the Banao River. In this place along with the lush vegetation, you can observe native species in danger of extinction such as cateyes, parrots and conga hutias. You will walk accompanied by the song of tocororos, woodpeckers and multicolored butterflies, which make the panorama an unforgettable natural scenery.

Program

• The trail starts from the Jarico ecological station, after visiting the interpretation center where you will receive general information about the whole area.
• Assistance of local eco-guide.
• The trail is 5.2 km long and is under the shade of the tropical forest in most of it.
• The expectation of the Banao River and the waterfalls it leaves behind. Natural beauties from the mountain slopes or the trail will accompany you during the tour, until you reach La Sabina Biological Station.
• Lunch at La Sabina Biological Station. (optional)
