Description
In the mountainous massif of the Sierra Maestra is the Pico Real del Turquino, the highest peak in Cuba with 1974 meters above sea level. This elevation is part of the natural and historical heritage of the country. It is the ideal place to observe endemic species, both plants and animals, surrounded by lush vegetation and very pleasant temperatures that will make your climb a full and unforgettable enjoyment.
Program
1 Day
- Pick up in Jeep from Villa Santo Domingo.
- Departure to Alto del Naranjo,
- Brief stop and explanation about the route,
- Beginning of the trek to the Aguada del Joaquín .
- Lunch included
- Camping and dinner.
Day 2
- Around 06.00 hrs: Breakfast and departure to Pico Turquino,
- We continue along the trail ascending and descending through the mountains to the Pico Real del Turquino.
- Brief time for a rest to replenish the strength lost in the challenge of the ascent.
- Descent to Aguada del Joaquin,
- Creolle lunch around 1:30 pm.
- Continue the trip to Alto del Naranjo where you arrive approximately at 5 pm.
- Around 6:30 p.m. Arrive at Villa Santo Domingo.
