“Trinidad in my Heart” Tour

Description:

Trinidad, one of the most beautiful, historic and best preserved cities in Cuba was one of the first Villas founded by the Spanish and declared by UNESCO as Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 1988. We propose you a tour through its cobbled streets full of tradition and history, most of the buildings in Trinidad date from the time of the sugar trade in the 18th and 19th centuries. You will feel and live the experience of being in a City stopped by time full of heritage, historical and cultural values that reveal times, customs and traditions.

Tour Program:

• Walk through the streets of Trinidad Colonial and tour the Plaza Mayor.
• Visit to the History Museum, this place treasures a great variety of works of art and objects of high patrimonial value. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the Plaza Mayor from the tower inside.
• Visit the Municipal Art Gallery where you will appreciate a great selection of contemporary art by local artists.
• Visit to the Museum of Colonial Architecture, you will see a scale exhibition of the different elements that make up the Colonial houses of Trinidad, and a steam shower in its original 18th century relic marble bathtub.
• Visit to the Major Catholic Parish Church, La Santísima Trinidad, a place of great architectural beauty, which preserves in its interior the Cristo de La Vera Cruz, protector of the city.
• Visit to the Romantic Museum, former Palace of Count Brunet, unveiled symbol of the city by the beauty of this place, has an invaluable collection of art from the early nineteenth century.
• Visit to the Museum of the Fight Against Bandits, former Convent of Saint Francis of Assisi, has the highest tower of the city will enjoy a panoramic view of the city. In its interior it treasures an important graphic exhibition of the Fight Against Bandits, for the defense of the Revolution.
• Walking along the cobbled streets, we arrive at El Jigüe Square, the place where the Villa was founded and the first Catholic Mass was celebrated.
• Visit to La Taberna La Canchánchara, where the client will be able to enjoy the typical drink of the city or a sugar cane juice. (Optional not included in the tour price).
• We continue our tour and arrive at the Casa de La Música, a place of cultural interest in the city, and the surroundings of La Casa de La Trova, where you can buy souvenirs.
• Visit to La Plaza Santa Ana, there you will find the ruins of La Iglesia Santa Ana as well as the old prison of the same name.
• Visit the old Cuartel del Dragon, today an art school where the steam locomotives from 1552 are located.
• Visit to the Tobacco Factory where you will be able to appreciate the manufacture of tobacco.
• Return to Céspedes Park.
• End of the excursion.

Place of collection: In a place where the client is lodged or some reference point like the municipal library, located in Martí street, in front of the bank.
