Close to the Hotel Horizontes Soroa is the Agro-ecological Farm of Medicinal Plants which was created with the purpose of planting plants with medicinal properties, taking advantage of the temperature changes that occur in the mountain area and that many of these species need for their development.

The farm has an area of about 3 hectares, where there are plantations of about 75 species of medicinal plants, including: Marigold, Chamomile, Plantain, Passionflower and Ginger among others. It also has about 150 species of fruit trees, 300 varieties of orchids either in nurseries or living in their natural form in trees and about 200 or 300 varieties of other plant species.

You will be welcomed by the family that lives in this farm and you will be able to make your contribution in the daily tasks and this way you will learn and know the importance of the care and conservation of these plants. This place is 100% ecological, no industrial or chemical fertilizers are used, only organic and green manure derived from the same plantations

For nature lovers, this is the ideal place because you can find different species of birds such as the tocororo, sinsonte, tomeguín and zunzún, as well as butterflies and bees. At the end of the visit or the work you can enjoy delicious natural juices, coffee, tea or infusions and fruit sweets typical of the place.
